The Czech Republic is heading into the Sochi games hoping to improve on their last Olympic showing when they placed 7th in Vancouver. The Czechs have not won a gold medal since Nagano in 1998, and they will be competing in group C with Switzerland, Latvia and powerhouse Sweden. The forwards for the Czechs are balanced through all four lines, but they lack the top-end talent that Canada, Russia, USA and Sweden have. There are also a lot of question marks on the blue line for the Czechs who will likely see another elimination in the quarterfinals.
